Northern Arapaho 477 Director Lee Spoonhunter is an enrolled member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe from the Wind River Indian Reservation. Director Spoonhunter attended college at Central Wyoming College and Casper College in Wyoming. His professional duties include holding the position of Northern Arapaho Tribal Child Support Director. Director Spoonhunter was responsible for building the Tribal Child Support program to meet the needs of the Arapaho People and served as Director from 2006-2013.

Director Spoonhunter also worked as a tribal consultant to various tribes in the areas of Tribal TANF and Tribal Child Support. Director Spoonhunter served as the Northern Arapaho Sky People Higher Education Director before being elected to the Northern Arapaho Business Council in November of 2016. Director Spoonhunter served from 2016-2018 as Co-Chairman of the Northern Arapaho Business Council ("NABC"), 2018-2020 as Chairman of the NABC. Director Spoonhunter served again as Co-Chairman and Councilman from 2020-2024. Director Spoonhunter served as a member of HHS Administration for Children and Families TAC, HHS Human Services Resources & Administration TAC, and HHS Secretary's TAC. Director Spoonhunter served on the new Department of Housing & Development HUD Tribal Intergovernmental Advisory Committee, National Indian Gaming Association Board of Directors, and continues to serve on the National Indian Health Board (NIHB).

Since his work for the Northern Arapaho Tribe, he has been awarded these national awards: Office of Child Support Enforcement Commissioner's award for innovative partnership; National Tribal Child Support Association President's Award; National Tribal Child Support Association Outstanding Tribe - Northern Arapaho; The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development - American Indian Leadership Award.

Director Spoonhunter currently serves as the President of the Northern Arapaho Educational Trust board, Sherman Indian School Board, and a board member of the Sky People Higher Education Program.
